• Something round for your pastie pattern (bottles of various sizes)
• scissors
• bobby pins or paper clips
• marker/pen/pencil
• felt
• craft glue (such as E-6000, hot glue or crazy glue)
• buckram or craft foam
• embellishments (feathers, rhinestones, googley eyes, studs, pom-poms, confetti, etc. -- go crazy here, if you can imagine it and glue it, go for it!)

Eyelash Transplant

So we talked about an eyebrow transplant, now I discovered there is an eyelash transplant!!!!

OMG  A permanent solution to bigger, fuller, longer eyelashes (dreams do come true!)
I'm crazy about long lashes! I tried latisse and eyelash extensions, but now I just can do a transplant, and I'm set for life! And...there is more coming:

So far I learned that doctors used nape hair, and Dr.Umar did an Eyelash transplant using leg hair (which apparently looks more natural, and doesn't require perming). 

I'm all about the eyes- eyes are the first things that many people notice, and eyelashes totally transform the look!

"Men that want thicker eyebrows even though they seem to have what looks like a passable brow," he continues. "They want them bushier because they equate the look with masculinity."

Every year the number of death incidents related to extreme heat increases in summer. Millions of people around the worlds suffer from migraines, heat strokes, and heart attacks. Summer is lot's of fun, but it's also a dangerous season, so we need to protect ourselves (and people around us) by following simple rules. I collected these tips from doctors and governmental sites:

1. Drink plenty of water.
Don't drink sodas or caffeinated drinks instead of water, just drink water. I personally add a tea spoon of organic apple cider vinegar to my water (it makes it taste better, plus it provides antioxidants for my skin).

2. Wear a hat

3. Wear a light breezy clothes

4. Wear a sun screen

5. Don't over exercise

5. Wear comfortable breezy shoes

6. If someone is fainting, you need to call 911

7. Don't over heat yourself

8. Stay in a shaded area

9. Replace your minerals and salts; drink Gatorade

10. Refrigerate your food to prevent food poisoning

11. Ladies only: wear a comfy not padded bra. Too much padding will overheat your chest area.

I found this on on polyvore, so it's not my original one. This trend is so playful and so much fun! So far the fruit print skirt is my favorite; you can style it with a top and hills or sneakers and a hoodie. Just don't over-do this trend; wear fruit fashion, not a fruit salad.

Is it a cat? Is it a kangaroo? It's an adorable Roo! #cats

Roo is what is known as a “kangaroo cat” or “squitten”. This condition is caused by one of the following conditions: either Radial Hypoplasia (under-developed radius bones) or Foreleg Micromelia (small forelegs). 

Roo came to us when a young man called to tell us he could no longer keep Roo (who he found on the street as a tiny kitten) because his fiance was “creeped out by him” - so we met the young man at our vet’s office. Roo was almost a year old, had not been neutered, tested for FELV/FIV, or received any vaccinations, and his foster mom could see the fleas crawling all over his face. The young man also told us that his roommate had “accidentally” stepped on Roo’s tail with steel tipped boots when he was a kitten, and had crushed it so badly that it had to be amputated (doesn’t sound like an accident to us). We were glad to take Roo into our Lifetime Care Program and away from this horrible situation.

Roo is a character, and nothing stops him. He kind of hops around like a rabbit, but manages to get into the tallest cat tree by jumping (his back legs are super powerful…and boy can he jump!). He also manages to wrap his front legs around a round tall cat scratcher and use it to sharpen his claws, as well as getting in and out of a litter box with no problem. He loves to play with the other cats, and you will often find him wrestling and playing chase with one or more of the other cats in our foster program.

Because of his condition he does require special attention to make sure his front legs do not get any abrasions as he uses them to “waddle” around on the carpeting. He also requires bi-annual x-rays to make sure the bones in his front legs are fine (as they are prone to breakage).

Roo would have been abandoned at the shelter and euthanized almost immediately because of his physical disability, but because of your generosity and Milo’s Sanctuary’s love of the special kitties, he’s safe and happy, and will be for the rest of his life, and we can never thank you enough for that!
